Community Impact Initiative
Behind Every Mission Is a Story Worth Sharing.
Every organization has a story worth telling, but no organization changes lives alone. Through the Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative, one nonprofit organization is selected semi-annually to receive the Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative Grant, a professional photography and video package designed to capture the heart of its mission, strengthen community awareness, and support future fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and outreach. It takes a village to create lasting change, and every village deserves to know the people making a difference.
It Takes a Village
At Kamalzadeh Law, we believe it takes a village to build stronger communities. That village includes the nonprofits serving families, the volunteers giving their time, the donors investing in hope, the businesses supporting local causes, and the neighbors who choose to help one another. Through the Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative, we invest in the organizations that make our communities stronger by providing professional photography and visual storytelling.
We believe every nonprofit, regardless of size or budget, deserves the opportunity to share its mission through compelling visuals that inspire awareness, deepen community engagement, attract volunteers, strengthen fundraising efforts, and encourage others to become part of the village that supports their work.
The Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative was created to help nonprofits share their stories through professional photography and visual storytelling, because when people can see the impact, they are inspired to become part of it.
For Ali and Erin Kamalzadeh, this initiative is deeply personal. Giving back has always been an important part of their lives, shaped by firsthand experiences with the very organizations that strengthen our communities.
As a child, during a difficult period for her family, Erin experienced the kindness of a local food pantry that helped put food on the table when it was needed most. That experience left a lasting impression and taught her that even the smallest act of generosity can change a family’s future. She also grew up watching her mother devote countless hours volunteering with schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations. Those experiences shaped Erin’s belief that every act of service, whether through time, talent, or resources, has the power to strengthen lives and build a stronger community.
Years later, through careers, volunteer work, and service with local nonprofit organizations, the Kamalzadeh family witnessed firsthand the tremendous need that exists within our community. They met individuals and families facing challenges that many people never see, and experienced the profound difference nonprofits make by providing hope, dignity, and essential support when it is needed most. Those experiences reinforced a shared belief that strong communities are built by people who choose to serve others, and that it takes a village to create lasting change.
With more than 20 years of professional photography experience, Erin recognized that visual storytelling is one of the most valuable gifts the Kamalzadeh family could offer the community. While many nonprofit organizations operate with limited budgets, powerful photography and video can help them raise awareness, connect with supporters, inspire volunteers, and strengthen fundraising efforts.
The Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative is an investment in the organizations that invest in our community every day. By providing professional photography and visual storytelling, the initiative helps nonprofits share their missions, celebrate their impact, and reach the people who can help them continue making a difference.
We believe that strong communities are built when people support one another. It takes nonprofits serving those in need, volunteers giving their time, donors investing in meaningful causes, businesses committed to giving back, and neighbors who choose to get involved. Our hope is that by helping nonprofits tell their stories, we can strengthen that village, connecting more people to the causes that matter and inspire lasting change throughout our community.
After all, every mission is a story worth sharing, and every story has the power to bring a village together.
The Grant
Twice each year, one nonprofit organization is selected by the community to receive the Community Impact Initiative Grant, a professionally produced visual media package designed to showcase its mission, tell its story, and highlight its impact on the community.
Grant Includes:
Before filming begins, we'll meet with your team during a personalized on-site consultation (approximately one hour) to learn about your organization, discuss your goals, and plan a storytelling experience that authentically captures your mission and community impact.
One professionally planned on-site production session (approximately 3–4 hours at a single primary location) with professional photography, videography, and aerial imagery where FAA regulations and flight conditions permit.
A curated collection of approximately 50 professionally edited high-resolution images showcasing your organization's mission, people, programs, and community impact, including aerial photography when available.
A professionally edited two-minute highlight film that captures your organization's story through compelling visuals, authentic moments, and music.
Full commercial usage rights, allowing your organization to use the completed photography and film for fundraising, marketing, community outreach, grant applications, annual reports, social media, presentations, and your website.
How It Works
01
Complete the online application and tell us about your organization, your mission, and how professional visual storytelling could help further your impact. Applications are accepted year-round, with one nonprofit selected during each semiannual grant cycle.
02
After each semiannual application period, eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are featured across Kamalzadeh Law's social media platforms, where the community can learn about their missions and vote for the next Community Impact Initiative Grant recipient. Participating organizations are encouraged to share their feature with supporters, helping increase awareness, strengthen community engagement, and celebrate the important work they do.
03
Once community voting concludes, one nonprofit organization is selected to receive the Kamalzadeh Law Community Impact Initiative Grant. Our team works closely with the recipient to plan and produce a personalized storytelling session that authentically captures the organization's mission, people, and impact through professional photography and cinematic video.
04
Within approximately six weeks of production, the recipient receives a professionally edited gallery of high-resolution photographs and a cinematic highlight film with full commercial usage rights. These visual assets are designed to support fundraising, marketing, grant applications, community outreach, social media, and more, helping the organization continue telling its story long after the project is complete.
